Critics were on the artist’s side; thus, it is good to remember their words, because not all of us understand art.
“Since November, Prague has had a new work of art, which is the result of a classical competition and, in principle, it is a traditional sculpture. Despite that, it exceeds the traditional framework of artwork. ... The artwork is perhaps delayed, but it is one of the cleanest manifestations of postmodernism in the Czech Republic. It combines historical styles and transfers them into different contexts. It connects popular culture and high art, plays with materials and scale factor; it provokes; it is colourful, funny and public – at least judging by the interested responses of passers-by,” (POSPISZYL, T. “Slovenčík’s postmodern totem to finance looks like a funny antique column, on top of which sits a biker’s winged heart perforated with an arrow. The symbolism has to be obvious to everyone even without the proclamation “I Love Money” that complements the entire composition.
