Level B1 „Threshold“ one-year 2 semester intensive course
Level B1 „Threshold“one-year 2 semester intensive course – for students from EMEA (Europe, Near and Mid East, Africa) countries + America + Asia who are getting ready to study Bachelor’s and Master’s subjects at:
- College of Banking
- or selective admission tests
- or at other Czech universities and colleges
- The courses, despite of the focus on grammar and language skills, also specialise in special subjects, above all economy, banking and fi nancial sphere. Tuition of all courses at B1 is residential (except for part of combined courses +) and take place in the Czech Republic at Banking Institute University or at Campus of CMC in Čelákovice. Prices of all courses B1 include accommodation at CMC Campus in Čelákovice.

+ 200 lessons – July – September/10 weeks/20 lessons a week

The price includes:
– Czech language tuition and selected specialised subjects
– accommodation in hotel style
– double rooms
– Czech language textbooks
– 1 cognitional trip and cultural and social events

The price doesn’t include:
– Accommodation caution of € 200,- (intentional damage), the Czech Republic visa (€ 85,-), health insurance (€ 330,-), specialised learning aids (€ 100,-), boarding expenses (€ 8, - a day), recommended pocket money (€ 150, - per month), travelling expenses within the Czech Republic (approx. € 25, - a month)

Basic conditions for admission of applicants for B1 level for registration to the course:
- elementary knowledge of Czech or English language
- graduation from high school with leaving examination (necessity to submit validation of report)
- knowledge’s from chosen subject on high school level
- validation of leaving examination reports and validation exam on Czech Republic high school
- filling in and submitting the application form including supplements (references and forms will be sent to every applicant after registration by mail as well as electronically) as soon as possible, but not later than October 30th (applicants from the states requiring visa), applicants from other states till november 30th
- applying for visa immediately after receiving form confi rming admission and accommodation in the Czech Republic (applicant from the states requiring visa)
- paying school fee on time and full amount for the whole course (2 semesters), exceptionally for one semester at one time
- having at least 80% participation in the course and executing given individual tasks
- keeping the terms of visa regime in the Czech Republic
- doing proper registration at the Foreign police
- arranging and paying health insurance
- applicant fills in and send registration card and based on this he/she will receive all necessary entering documents for application to the courses and study at College of Banking. Here
- Graduate is fully equipped to pass selective acceptance tests for studies at University’s subjects of economical and social focus (banking, insurance business, fi nances, macro and micro-economy, sociology, politology and international relations), technical focus (mechanical, constructive, chemistry etc.); and other naturalistic subjects such as general medicine, information technologies etc.
- Graduate appropriately knows the acoustic side of Czech language
- Graduate is skilled at grammar and syntax minimum of Czech language
- Graduate is familiar with general lexical base
- Graduate disposes of word-stock in Czech language in specialised terminology of chosen subject as well as enough skills concerning general conversational topics
