Lifelong learning
Fields of study: Banking, Information Technologies, Insurance, Appraisals of Property (movable, immovable, appraisals of companies), Law and School Management, Labour Law and Employers, Legal Administrative for Executive Assistants of Small and Medium- Sized Companies, Third Age University (U3V).
The effort to ensure quick mastering of the required knowledge and skills in accordance with needs of banks made the bank Institute create the possibility of educating a large number of people in the form of distance education in the past. With quick development and large increases of the volume of information potential students must be given larger freedom with regard to the selection of education and this is why distance education has become one of the most widespread used forms of education in the world.
The lifelong learning organized by BICB continues several years’ experience with the organization of various forms of education provided by the Banking Institute from 1995. This is the case of courses focused mainly on education of employees working in the banking and financial sectors where they get familiarized with new knowledge, methods and forms of work. However, the courses are also suitable for people working in other (non-banking) spheres as e.g. insurance, public administration, insurance companies, etc. These people get the opportunity to obtain basic knowledge of activities typical for the banking sphere or acquire knowledge and skills necessary for the execution of certain professions typical not only for the banking and financial sphere.
Some types of lifelong education of BIVŠ are accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education as professional re-qualification education. This area includes distance education of banking and distance education of information technologies.
Lifelong education provided by BICB offers further possibilities of specialized studies focused on appraising of movable and immovable assets, appraisals of companies, insurance and law issues. Educational projects within the lifelong education have their specialized and methodological base in the accredited bachelor study programmes of BICB.
