Study abroad students
The College of Banking offers a wide range of study programmes spread across several academic disciplines, including programmes in English or Russian especially tailored for international students.
Exchange student: a student sent from a partner college or university who studies one or two semesters at the College of Banking.
Degree student: a student who is enrolled to take an entire degree at the College of Banking (students in the Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary).
Guest student: a student who studies a semester or two at the College of Banking. The course credits are to be transferred back to the degree studied in the home university. The student does not come from a partner institution.

Study possibilities
As an exchange student or guest student, you can study at one of three campuses that offer couple courses in three languages. The College of Banking offers programmes especially tailored to exchange and guest students taught in English (Prague) and in Russian (Kiev).
As a degree student you can study one of more than 10 entire degrees offered in Czech, English, Slovak and Russian language.
Academic system
Bachelor level = undergraduate (3 years) = 180 ECTS credits
Master level = graduate (2 years) = 120 ECTS credits on top of the 180 ECTS credits from the bachelor level.
A full semester workload equals 30 ECTS credits. Two semesters equal 60 ECTS credits.
Academic calendar
Autumn semester:
Classes start in October and run to mid December. Exams take place in December and January.
Spring semester:
Classes start in February and run to mid May. Exams take place in June and July.

Arrival to the Czech Republic
You must arrive in time for our orientation day(s) which takes place a few days before the semester starts. In rare circumstances late arrivals can be accepted to request.
Orientation day
A few days before classes start in September or February the College of Banking has an orientation programme for new international students.
Language requirements
A good standard of English or Czech is required because teaching at the College of banking typically involves student participation, class discussion and student presentations. A minimum score for Czech or English language is B1 (CEFR - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Czech language courses
You can sign up for Czech language courses for foreigners. All courses of College of Banking have got the accreditation of Ministry of education, youth and sports of the Czech Republic according to the Higher Education Act in the Czech Republic and the levels A1 and B1 are finished by passing oral and written exam.
Graduates from courses of minimum B1 level are admitted to pass selective admission tests for private and public Universities in the Czech Republic.
