Legal Administration in Business
The study in this specialization, which belongs to the authorized study program Banking, started at BICB during academic year 2002/2003.
The program of Legal Administration is in particular aimed at education of students preparing for entrepreneurial activities in different sectors as well as in public sector institutions. It is intended to prepare workers in specialized and managerial functions in institutionally broad spectrum of law application.
The aim of the study and the graduate profile
The aim of the study of Legal Administration in Business Sphere is preparation of qualified specialists in the area of law application in the sphere of business, in the scope of production, trade, services of production and non-production spheres including financial and in institutions and authorities of public sector.
During his/her studies the graduate is acquainted with comprehensive legal and relevant economic disciplines, which guarantee vocational preparation and skills of graduates. Having been familiarized with bases of common legal and economic theories, the graduate acquires knowledge of notions and context of psychology and sociology including abilities of their practical exploitation in teamwork, staff management and communication with clients.
The graduate from the study program is a worker, who has acquired needed specialized knowledge in the given study branch and is able to carry out analyses of various situations, to make fast decisions and to react flexibly when solving practical legal problems. S/he is able to make right decisions from the point of view of law and to propose corresponding activities. S/he overviews information, methods of its gathering, as well as administrative legal procedures within a company. S/he is familiarized with the rules of law in connection to processes within a company and with legal relations with other organizations and clients.
Conditions and study organization
The bachelor study program Legal Administration in Business Sphere lasts for 6 semesters (three years).
The study is structured as follows:
the study of theoretical basis devoted predominantly to the study of common educational subjects and introduction to legal topics (1st year)
the following two years of studies are devoted to vocational subjects of legal or economic character
The study is realized in daily and combined forms. Students will make use of commonly available literature and manuals, specialized textbooks published by BICB and further study materials.
