Economy and management of health and social services

Study in this subject was started in Academic year 2008/2009 within the frame of bachelor´s study program Economy and management.
 
The study prepares students for professionally as well as managerially demanding work in trading companies, non-profit and allowance organizations focused on the sphere of health and social services, consulting companies and authorities and also institutions of public sector connected to these spheres.  

Aims of study and graduate´s profile

Goal of study of subject Economy and management of health and social services is preparation of qualified specialists for the sphere of economy and management of medical institutions, businesses and facilities providing health and social services and commercial businesses as well as non-profit organizations focused on providing this type of services. Last but not least the aim is also to raise specialists in these spheres to perform concerned functions in public administration and autonomy.
 
Graduates of this subject are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge from economy, scientific, pedagogical-psychological, social and law spheres. They also have sufficient understanding of statistics, informatics and management.
 
Graduates obtain practical knowledge and skills needed for work in institutions and organizations engaged in health and social services. They are able to characterize and use different methods and practices used in managing of above mentioned institutions as well as in organizations of public and state sphere.
